Better Fiction: The Blog

Our guest editors are working through the submission for this year's anthology (still open, by the way), and have already helped us grow by putting Better Fiction on Duotrope for the first time.

We have featured stories by Cat Rambo and S.E. Ward; articles by Stephen Coonts and Homer Hickam; and story comments by Piers Anthony and Matt Hughes. You'll find fantastic contributions from J.P. Dellova, Karina Kantas, Melinda Reynolds, Gary Beck, Michael Milliken, Scott Sandridge, and others.

Though our focus has historically been on reprints, which does not leave us open to many awards, "The Dragon of Yellow Wood", by Bill Snodgrass, was a finalist for the Darrell Awards. You will recognize Snodgrass as the founder of Double-Edged Publishing, the publisher of Mindflights (formerly "The Sword Review" and "Dragons, Knights, & Angels") and other online magazines.
